“wherefore art thou Custom Group?”

We can’t honestly say that the Great Bard himself would have chosen Custom Group Ltd to manufacture and install curtains and blinds for the newly refurbished Royal Shakespeare Theatre, but the Royal Shakespeare Company’s management did!

Custom Group made a valuable contribution to realising the RSC’s plans to reopen the Royal Shakespeare and Swan Theatres in November 2010, on time and on budget, following a four year £112.8m redevelopment project. The project consists of a brand new 1,000 seat thrust stage auditorium, 36 metre high Tower, new exhibition spaces, new places to eat and drink, including a Rooftop Restaurant and Riverside Café and terrace, restored 1930s features and improved public areas including the new Weston Square. The size, scope and multifunctional nature of this project has given the Custom Group a great opportunity to provide a diverse range of products including privacy solar film, venetian blinds, curtains, tracking, net curtains, framed blackout blinds and pleated skylight blinds. Our engineers spent a few days in this beautiful part of the country, professionally installing our products throughout the project, right through from the 4th floor meeting rooms down to the wig department, well in time for the scheduled unveiling.

If you’d like to experience this fantastic venue yourself, the doors to the Royal Shakespeare and Swan Theatres will open from 24 November 2010 with a number of preview events, the first productions on the new Royal Shakespeare Theatre stage will commence in February 2011.
